SM Regulating Big Feelings & Little Bodies
Children experience a wide range of feelings throughout development. These feelings can be difficult to navigate. We recognize that a child’s unique sensory profile plays an active role in emotional development. We will explore feelings and emotions through a variety of sensory experiences.

This is a weekly group where children are carefully matched with peers who will encourage them to reach the next level of success together. All groups require an initial intake meeting (we call it a playdate!) to determine the best fit for your child. If you'd like your child to join one of our groups, please book a playdate!

Children experience a wide range of feelings throughout development. These feelings can be difficult to navigate. We recognize that a child’s unique sensory profile plays an active role in emotional development. We will explore feelings and emotions through a variety of sensory experiences. We will move through big and small emotions as we provide each child with coping strategies while building confidence. We also recognize that each child’s unique sensory system plays a vital role in attention, regulation and academic skills. Often times, children have difficulty processing all the sensory input in their school, home or extracurricular environment leading to difficulty with attention, friendships and impulsivity. We will provide children ages 3-8 with the necessary tools for their unique sensory system to maintain a regulated state of arousal and actively participate in school and extracurricular activities. We run multiple regulation groups throughout the week. Each group is individualized to it’s members and will focus on improving your child’s sensory and emotional regulation, friendship skills, and attention!

Topics include:

  •   Transitions
  •   Friendship skills
  •   Attention
  •   Winning and losing
  •   Impulsivity
  •   Big and small emotions
  •   Flexibility/rigidity
  •   Sensory processing (under and over sensitive)
  •   Regulation
  •   Team work & collaboration
