Group Policies

We know policies aren't the fun part. We've written them plainly so there are no surprises — and if anything here is unclear, please ask before you enroll.

1. enrollment and commitment

Groups are purchased in 12-week modules with set session dates. Enrolling means committing to the full 12 weeks.

Each group is capped at five children and requires a minimum of three to run. If a day or time doesn't reach three children, we'll offer you an alternative slot — and if nothing works, we'll refund you in full.

Children may join in time for the second session at the latest. The first week is when the group gets to know each other, and after that the roster closes so the group can settle.

Please note if you join in the second week the session is not pro-rated, however you will be provided with the week one curriculum.

2. payment

Cost: $1,176 per 12-week module.

Deposit: $255, non-refundable, holds your child's spot.

If you register more than 30 days before the session starts, you may either pay in full or place the deposit, with the balance due 30 days before the start date.

If you register within 30 days of the start date, payment is due in full.

3. cancellation and refunds

30 days before the session starts, paid in full: refunded minus the $255 non-refundable deposit.

30 days before the session starts, deposit only: you won't be charged the balance, but the deposit is forfeited.

30 days prior to the session starting: we aren't able to offer refunds, and we don't typically allow withdrawals. If there are extenuating circumstances, we're happy to talk through your family's situation.

If Play 2 Progress cancels my registration: if a group doesn't run or we determine group isn't the right fit for your child following the bridge session, you'll be refunded in full for the group, deposit included. Please note we do not refund the bridge session after it is competed.

4. attendance

We aren't able to offer makeup sessions, refunds, or prorating for missed sessions. This includes illness and travel.

The curriculum builds week to week and the group is small — a missed session can't be recreated one-on-one, and holding spots open is what the 12-week model is designed to move away from.

Your take-home curriculum sheet covers whatever your child missed so you can carry it into the week at home.

If something significant comes up during your session, please talk to us. We always want to know what's going on with your child.

5. schedule and closures

Groups follow the LAUSD school calendar and don't meet on designated school holidays. Your session dates and closures are on the calendar in your welcome packet.

6. therapist absence

If your therapist is out, we'll provide substitute coverage with another therapist and do our best to notify you in advance so you can prepare your child.

In an emergency we may need to extend the group by a week. We build a cushion week into every module calendar for exactly this, and it's a last resort we work hard to avoid.

7. late pick-up policy

Our team loves their group — but they have other session immediately following! Please plan for on-time pickup. A $5/minute late fee applies after the 50 minute group ends.

8. photography

We don't photograph children during group sessions. There are some lovely moments as the children build friendships, but group is a private space for every family in it. We ask that all families refrain from taking any pictures of other group members while at Play 2 Progress.

9. re-enrollment

Current group families get first opportunity to reserve their spot for the next module before enrollment opens to new families. Priority registration opens partway through each session — watch for the email.
