Group Occupational Therapy
Our groups are small, supportive circles—each bringing together 2-5 children with an experienced Occupational Therapist. At P2P, we create a nurturing environment where children learn and grow together, guided by caring professionals. Our purpose is to nurture social, emotional, and behavioral growth through a blend of structured and playful activities. During these sessions children enjoy:
- Skill based games
- Group challenges designed to foster team work and collaboration
- Arts and crafts
- Fun, collaborative experiences designed to inspire connection and creativity
Our group sessions help children grow emotionally, build social skills, and make friends—all in a supportive, creative, and welcoming environment.

Every group is thoughtfully composed to ensure children are matched with peers who share similar needs, abilities, and personalities.
To join a group, children should have some familiarity with emotional regulation strategies and be able to safely engage with peers with occasional guidance, rather than ongoing one-on-one support. This helps ensure all children can participate meaningfully and enjoy the group experience. Our therapists are here to help you determine if a group setting is the best fit for your child.
Depending on your child’s needs, we may recommend starting with 1:1 OT sessions to build regulation skills, before transitioning to a group setting.

If you’re new to Play 2 Progress, we’ll begin with a call to discuss your child’s needs and see if group therapy is a great match. If so, we’ll arrange an initial bridge session with the group’s occupational therapist.
Bridge session are a 30-minute 1:1 with the Occupational Therapist who leads the group we think will be the right fit for your child. Most children attend 2-4 bridge sessions before joining the group, ensuring a smooth and confident start. The first bridge session helps build rapport and determine if the group is the right fit for your child. Subsequent sessions gently introduce your child to the group’s flow and structure in a one-on-one setting, so when they join the full group, they feel confident and prepared.
*We are committed to providing your child with the appropriate services to best support their needs. We may recommend starting with 1:1 OT before progressing to group to ensure your child receives the best possible care.
