This intensive is focused on the skills needed to successfully transition back into the school environment. While we will employ many of the same strategies, our goals will be specific to back-to-school.

The transition into a new school year can be challenging- navigating new classrooms, forming friendships, and mastering morning routines. But it doesn't have to be overwhelming! Our OT Back-to-School Intensive is designed to set you child up for a successful school year, making this transition as smooth as possible.
What the intensive includes:
- 3 In-person OT sessions with your child
- 1 Parent/ Family Zoom call to review strategies and provide at home support
- Individualized write up for your child's teacher covering classroom strategies for your child
- Individual take home materials like visual schedules and social stories
- In classroom body tools

How is this Intensive different from a regular OT session?
What types of things will you work on in this intensive?
While each child will have their own individual goals, we will work on topics such as:
-Getting ready for school in the morning
-Transitioning from home to school and school to home
-Using the zones of regulation in school
-Managing transitions at school
-Using body tools in school
and much more!
What will the teacher write up include?
The Teacher's Write Up will include information on sensory integration principles and how they can integrate specific tools in the classroom to support your child. We will cover the sensory system, the Zones of Regulation, what a body tool is, how to use it, and specific tools we have used in our OT sessions that will assist your child.
What is a body tool?
A body tool is an object that provides sensory input, allowing your child to emotionally regulate and focus. These can be "fidget toys", putty, weighted animals, or other adaptive aides.
Billing, Insurance and Cancellation Policy
Does P2P accept Insurance?
P2P does not accept insurance. We can provide you with a monthly Superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We can provide you with a cheat sheet full of important questions to ask your insurance to see if they will reimburse you for services.
Do you accept self-determination or other programs?
P2P accepts some programs. Please reach out to us to discuss the specifics of your funding.
When will I be billed?
You will be billed in full at the time of your first session.
When will I receive my Superbill?
Superbills are generate monthly and sent to you via email.
